Why do I use the phrase “THE Buddha,”
instead of simply saying “Buddha?”
It is a silly
pseudo-intellectual affectation?
Or could it be a reminder
that “Buddha”
was NOT a god’s name
but merely an adjective
used to describe the enlightened state
of the monk Gautama;
a state that each of could attain
if we would but master:
compassion, and mindfulness,
and love, and letting-go!
Let us conclude
with a simple
call to action
