Rage and terror and despair

no less their younger siblings

of anger and fear and sadness

are rooted in eight primal drives:

the dread of enduring the presence

of loss, and pain, and scorn, and shame

or the dread of enduring the absence

of gain, or pleasure, or praise, or fame.

These are ancient impulses

rooted deep within our brain-stems

and our mid-brains

and they are ignored at our peril.

Luckily we can work through them

quite efficiently

by blending them with

compassion, and love, and awareness, and letting go,

and Mahamudra and mantra

in a just a very short number of minutes.

Let us conclude

with a simple

call to action

In the Tibetan tradition Lamas are supported

not by monasteries but by students
