Lama Jigme Gyatso
Love's Childhood Legacy - 17nov22
A wiser one than I once quipped, “Childhood is that thing you squander the rest of your life trying to overcome.” For the goal of Buddha’s meditations is to neither rewrite our personal timeline nor disassociate from our past and the present moment repercussions of its echoes upon the tender tissues of our mind.
Walking meditation can invite the mechanisms of our autonomic nervous system to slip the bouncer (at the door to our long term memories) a C-note. That the hippocampus might lift the velvet rope barring its entrance and free our trauma from the eternity of the now. Come, let us meditate like a Jedi!
