Is Meditation for Me? - 11sep21



The only way to find out

if Buddha’s path is for you

is to give it a try.

Begin by suspending judgement.


Formally practice the essence of his path

once every morning and once every evening

for seven consecutive days

and then evaluate your results:


have you grown so anxious and angry

that folks have come to refer to you

as “Little Darth Vader,”

or have you grown in peace and love?


Set yourself up for success,

by side-stepping pseudo-spiritual philosophizing


for all you need are the Buddha’s

four meditations of love,

his twelve meditations of true knowledge,

and his four meditations of liberation.
