is due to stinking thinking,
all the while neuroscience teaches us
that striving to think ourselves out of what we feel
is a cause of the kind of forebrain exhaustion
that leads to depression?
Evolutionary biology teaches us
there are stressors in our
environment, body, society, and brain.
The Buddha taught
that living in resistance to those stressors
exacerbates our suffering.
Neither the Jedi nor the Buddha taught self-talk
but rather the coordination of observation and relaxation
with our cycles of breathing.
