One could develop quite a few psychic abilities
by implementing the Buddha’s meditation techniques
on a twice daily basis,
but that’s not really the point of the Buddha’s path,
now is it?
Oh sure, in Tibet it is taught
that one could pacify sufferings, increase blessings,
practice the Jedi mind trick, perform exorcisms,
and even portend the future.
But the pursuit of such things
often increase our resistance
to the presence of things we dread,
and the absence of things we desire,
thus exacerbating our stress,
as warned in the Buddha’s second noble truth.
Some futures are not worth knowing anyway.
But don’t take my word for it, ask Anakin.
Let us conclude
with a simple
call to action

not by monasteries but by students
