PTSD, Hate, and Villainy - 10dec22

There are experiences that belong in memory but which trauma chains to the present (where they can do the most harm) convincing us that we are now in peril and that survival’s only hope depends on out monstering the monsters. This forces the clever team of our prefrontal cortex and amygdala to imagine increasingly cruel and melodramatic ways of punishing our villains (that justice may be satisfied and others well warned).

Our identity is NOT defined by fantasy, BUT by deed. Some walking meditations could empower our hippocampus that it may return the Sith holocron of our trauma safely to the Jedi vault of our memory.
